Paw Paw boys defeat Allegan

PAW PAW – Paw Paw boys basketball team ended a three-game losing streak and improved its record to 3-6 on Dec. 23 with a 50-30 win over Allegan at the Parchment Holiday Showcase
Earlier in the week, Paw Paw lost to Niles 58-55 and to Dowagiac 56-49.
The Red Wolves return to action on Jan. 12 at home against Three Rivers.
The Paw Paw girls are 4-1 after a 70-34 win over Niles on Dec. 21 at home. They will play Battle Creek Harper Creek at home on Jan. 5.

For the Red Wolves, it was Kainan Teske (106 pounds) with a pin over Connor Craw in 31 seconds; Owen Hamre (120) won by forfeit; Zac Klimp (126) pinned Lloyd Brown in 3:46; David Pokorny (132) was pinned in 16 seconds by Brock Clendenin;
Tyler Perkkio (138), pinned Nathan Smith in 5:05; Jerry Strasser (144) pinned Chayce Quinn in 1:23; Alex Burgess (150) pinned Ward Cheney in 53 seconds; Alec McNeil (157) was pinned by Toney Boyne in 1:39; Dominic Hernandez (1675) won by forfeit; Gavin Turk (175) won 2-1 over Sam Rucker; Fisher Edwards (190) lost an 11-1 decision to Julian Means-Flewellen; Austin George (215) pinned Ronald Fiedler in 2:19 and Braylen Kennedy (2185) was pinned in 2:40 by Chase Brawley.
