Clare boys basketball drops to Sanford Meridian

The Clare boys basketball game lost their game against Sanford Meridian on Dec. 8 with a final score of 56-34, marking their first loss of the season.
In a Hudl highlights video of the game, in the first quarter, Ryan Rodenbo had a steal and Miles Haggart and a block and a steal. In the third quarter, Haggart had a steal and a three pointer, Nic Porter had a fast break, and Keagan Hill had a three pointer. In the fourth quarter, Rodenbo had a steal and Ritchie Montgomery had a fast break, a steal and a three pointer.
Montgomery led the way for the team with 17 points.
In addition to the 34 points the boys scored, they also had a total of 27 rebounds, six assists, five steals and one block. Their field goal percentage was 28%, their three point percentage was 25%, and their free throw percentage was 78%.
The Pioneers’ next few games will be against Shepherd, Gladwin and Saginaw Swan Valley.
