Obituary: Sharon Sue Burch

Sharon Sue Burch went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on February 25, 1949 to Joe and Theresa Cook. 

Sharon married her soulmate, Rodney Burch, on August 20, 1968, they were married for 55 wonderful years. 

Sharon retired from MidMichigan Medical Center, where she worked for 27 years as a laboratory technologist. She taught phlebotomy classes at Mid Michigan Community College for 11 years. 

Sharon loved God, and always preached about him, and followed him faithfully everyday. Sharon attended church at Browns Corners Church in Clare. She was part of the prayer team at the church, ladies group ministry, and volunteered at several organizations in the community.

Sharon loved to ski, line dance, play mahjong with her girlfriends, camping, sewing, shopping and Starbucks with her twin daughters. She loved her family, her friends, and her laugh and smile were contagious. 

Sharon is survived by her soulmate, Rodney Burch. 3 children, Chris (Claire) Burch of Dorr, twin daughters Tracy Gillis (Patrick Allard) of Clare  and Tonia (Jared) Reeves of Clare. 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Ethan, Hunter, and Marlena. 2 great grandchildren Arabella and Millee. 

2 sisters, Nancy (Bud) White and Terry Rice and several other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jeff Cook.

A memorial service will take place at Browns Corners Church at a later date.  Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.stephenson-wyman.com
