Allegan 38 Bridgman 46
Katelyn VanAtter scored a game-topping 17 points in Allegan’s road game against Bridgman on Thursday, Dec. 14.
That was the good news for the Tigers.
The bad news? That wasn’t enough to prevent Bridgman from claiming the 46-38 victory.
Allegan trailed 20-12 at halftime and 32-23 after three quarters.
“We just had a few too many turnovers, which contributed to our first-half deficit,” Allegan coach Sharron Thompson said. “We fought back in the second half to get the game close, but the Bees were able to pull away for the win.”
Carlee Rynearson added 10 points in the loss, with Maddie Antkoviak going for nine points.
Hamilton 36 Hopkins 33
A close game went the way of Hamilton on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
The Hawkeyes traveled to Hopkins and posted the 36-33 victory, thanks largely to a 21-point effort from Kaitlyn Geurink.
Leah Brink added seven points for Hamilton.
Ellie Sebright paced Hopkins with nine points, followed closely by Kate Cleypool with eight.
Fennville 53 Eau Claire 10
Lila Rosema and Ceeley Howard combined for 32 points to lead Fennville to the 53-10 win over visiting Eau Claire on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
In addition to her game-best 17 points, Rosema also had 12 rebounds for the double-double. Howard went for 15 points.
Kylie Bushee added seven points and six rebounds, while Addyson Brown contributed seven rebounds.
Fennville jumped out to a 17-2 lead after one quarter and never slowed down, pushing the lead to 36-5 at halftime.
