Clare boys basketball opens season with win against Alma

The Clare boys basketball team won their first game of the season against Alma on Nov. 28 with a final score of 56-51.
In a Hudl highlights video of the game, in the first quarter, Ryan Rodenbo had a three-pointer and Ritchie Montgomery had a steal. In the second quarter, Ryan Louch had a three-pointer, Montgomery had a fast break and a steal, Lincoln Older had a steal, and Dane Alexander had a three-pointer. In the fourth quarter, Louch had a steal, Montgomery had a steal, and Rodenbo had a fast break.
In addition to the 56 points scored, the team had a total of 25 rebounds, eight assists and eight steals. They had a field goal percentage of 49%, a three-point percentage of 33%, and a free throw percentage of 56%.
The Pioneers’ next game will be on Dec. 1 against Beaverton, a team that is now 1-0 after winning their game against Coleman with a final score of 41-25.
