Phil Rodgers of Bronwood Ga, (formerly Marion Mi) passed away Wednesday November 15 after a long hard fought battle with Cancer with his loving wife of 51 years Connie by his side.
Phillip was born January 12th 1953 the fourth of five children from Earl Mac Rodgers and Pattie Lee Gross. On January 6th 1973 Phillip was united in marriage to Connie Pauline Black in Preston, GA.
Phil worked hard to support his family and was an excellent provider. In his freetime he enjoyed hunting, fishing (especially cat fishing with brother-in-law and great friend Calvin Nichols), gardening and cooking with his grandchildren.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Connie Rodgers; children Paul (Torie) Rodgers of Phenix City, AL, Kathy (Jeff) Dennis of Marion, MI, Phillip II (Roxie) Rodgers of Phenix City, AL; stepfather Matt Gross of Columbus, GA; siblings Dale (Sac) Rodgers, Katie Nell (Tom) Jones, Eric (Sarah) Gross; grandchildren Kait, Gabby, Kylee, Jaxon, Devin, Dawson, Zayn, Phillip III, Mckenzie, and Liam. Preceeding him in death were his parents, sisters Martha Earl Rodgers and Rosemary Hollers and infant grandson Landon Paul Rodgers.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial was held on Sunday, November 19 with close family friend Brother James Harvey officiating.
