Lola Marie Hagerl

Lola Marie (Sunday) Hagerl, age 99 of Clare, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Pioneer Golden Estates in Clare.  Lola was born the daughter of the late John Andrew and Mable Mae (Hilborn) Hartman on January 21, 1922 in Clare.  She was united in marriage to Lewis Sunday on September 29, 1940 with him predeceasing her on November 19, 1975.  Together they had five children Geraldine, Anne Marie, Harold, Diane and David.  In 1989 Lola married Fred Hagerl; together they enjoyed dancing, fishing and travelling prior to his death in 1999.  Lola had worked for a time at Holly Carburetor in Clare, as well as being a Ward Clerk at Clare Hospital for 27 years.  She and Lewis had worked the family farm together as well as hunting and camping as a family.  Lola is remembered by her family as making the best pies, especially Apple Pies.  While living at the Pioneer Golden Estates Lola loved to play Bingo, card games and Solitaire.  Lola spent several years wintering in the Sunny State of Florida.
Lola is survived by her children Geraldine (Lee) Blackledge of Florida, Anne Marie (the late Dale) Dancer of Clare, Harold (Kim) Sunday of Clare, Diane (Gayle) Prielipp of Harrison and Dave (Suzie) Sunday of Clare; several stepchildren; a brother-in-law Arthur Roese of Utica; 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her siblings Dale Hartman, Bill Hartman and Clela Roese; her grandchildren Lewis William Sunday and Andy Prielipp, a great granddaughter Kristen Gray, and her Son-in-law, Dale Dancer.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.  Services will be held at the Brown Corners United Brethren Church on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11 A.M. with Pastors Jim Young and Wendy Kindel officiating.  A luncheon will follow the services with burial to take place later in the day at the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  On-line guestbook at www.stephenson-wyman.com
