Marion – Martha Susan Eising, age 85, passed away at her home on November 6, 2023 with her five children around her. She was born on April 2, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant to John and Gertrude (Fate) Breuer. Marty attended Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart until her senior year. In 1955 her family moved to Lake City and she graduated from Lake City School in 1956. She worked as a nurse assistant and also at Inspection Control and Hultgren Gauge Company. On September 11, 1958 she was united in marriage with Donald Eising, her best friend and love of her life. Through the years they enjoyed doing everything together and were constant companions. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Marty loved talking to people and being involved in her community. She volunteered a lot of her time being a member of The Gleaners, The Marion Historical Museum, The Eagles Auxiliary, and The Silver Spurs 4-H club. Her faith meant a lot to her as she attended St. Agnes Church in Marion and was a member of the Family Circle there.
She enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers and had beautiful flower gardens. Her favorite flowers were purple phlox and red geraniums. She loved the outdoors, being a farm girl and a deer hunter. She loved animals, especially horses and was an avid rider, even barrel racing. It was difficult for her to drive by a garage sale and mostly she just liked to visit with the people there. Her love of her children and grandchildren was abundant. There was always a strong value of family. Marty was always the life of the party and fun to be around. She was thankful for life and lived it to the fullest. She cherished the closeness of being a part of a special neighborhood like Park Lake for 53 years.
Marty is survived by her children, Debbie Williams of McBain, Dale (Kelly) Eising of Lake City, Connie (John) Zuiderveen of Marion, Cathy (Greg) Edmonds of Cadillac, and Cindy (Doug) England of Marion.
