Arthur Joe Henry, 67 of Watson Township, Michigan, passed away November 4, 2023, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born July 16, 1956, in Allegan, Michigan, he was the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Paula (White) Henry and the husband of Joy (Brenner) Henry.
Arthur served honorably in the United States Navy and carried the lessons of discipline, dedication, and camaraderie throughout his life. After his time in the Navy, Arthur embarked on a long career as a truck driver. His early years on the road took him coast to coast, meeting new people and seeing the vast landscapes of his beloved country. Later, he drove more locally, but his love for the open road and the sense of freedom it gave him never wavered.
Arthur was a man of many interests. He was an active member of At the Master’s Feet Discipleship Ministry with his wife, Joy. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him with comfort, guidance, and a community of like-minded friends. Additionally, Arthur had a deep appreciation for antique machinery. He took great pleasure in seeking out and purchasing antique motorcycles and tractors, relishing the history and craftsmanship each piece held.
After the passing of his wife, Robin, Arthur was blessed to reconnect with his high school sweetheart, Joy Brenner. They rekindled their love story and were fortunate to share 15 wonderful years together, creating memories and cherishing each moment.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Joy; his daughter, Bobbi Jo (Noal) Krick; his grandchildren, Marley and Ripp Krick; and his siblings, Larry Fretwell, Paulett Fretwell, and Deb Washburn. Along with his parents and his late wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Sevigny.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM at At the Master’s Feet, 814 21st Street, Otsego, MI 49078, Pastor Ray Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to church. Gorden Funeral Residence is assisting the family with arrangements.
