Ronald A.J. Kussy, 81, of Paw Paw, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023. He was born Feb. 19, 1942, in Paw Paw, the son of the late Alex J. Kussy and Margaret D. (Kristoff) Kussy.
Ron proudly served his country in Vietnam. He retired from General Motors, Fisher Body, where he worked as a supervisor from 1966 to 1992. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was a longtime member of the Paw Paw Conservation Club. He was a dedicated and active member of Saint Mary Catholic Church and school.
On June 19, 1965, at the Saint Mary Church, Kalamazoo, he married Mary Jane (Stacy) Kussy, who survives.
He is also survived by his two daughters, Michelle (Roy) Middlebrooks and Anne (Ken) Wendling; five grandchildren, Alex (Molly Keegan) Wilder, Justin Middlebrooks, Mara Wilder, Kaylyn Middlebrooks, and Catherine Wendling; one brother, Stephen (Michelle) Kussy; and one sister, Marian (Wendell) Wojdak, along with nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Kussy, and Marvin Kussy.
Services were held Saturday, Oct. 28, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with the Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Saint Mary Cemetery.
