Halloween Happeningsaround the Area

In addition to Trick or Treat in Clare and surrounding communities on Halloween (see times in Halloween Trick or Treat article), there’s plenty of activity planned for this weekend right through October 31.
October 28: Clare Pumpkin 5K Run and 5K Walk – Start time 10 am, $30 race fee plus $2.80 sign up fee. Registration ends October 27 at 3 pm. Register at the Clare Area Chamber of Commerce or Clare Parks and Recreation.
October 28: Tract or Treat from 12 noon to 2 pm (with vintage tractors) and many events will be at the Emerald Isle Recreation Complex (303 Pinecrest, Clare).
October 28: McGuire Chevrolet Spooktacular Walk Thru 11 am – 2 pm Witches of the West at 712 W. 5th Street in Clare.
October 28: Halloween Happenings in the Village of Farwell – Party at the Farwell Fairgrounds from 3 to 5 pm; Trunk or Treat 5 – 7 pm between Superior and Webber Streets; Lantern making, Lantern walk; Storytime, Teen Scavenger Hunt. At the Village Park and Farmer’s Market,124 W. Illinois Street.
October 28: 3 – 5 pm Trunk or Treat at Clare Fire Department.
October 28: Trunk or Treat at Clare United Methodist Church 11 am to 1 pm and 5 to 6:30 pm and Free Soup Supper from 4-6 pm.
October 28: 5 – 6:30 pm Trunk or Treat at Clare Assembly of God with games, cake walk and more.
October 29: 2 – 4 pm 4H Trunk or Treat at Clare County Fairgrounds in Harrison.
October 31: 6-8 pm Trunk or Treat at Clare VFW.
October 31: Trunk or Treat 5 -7 pm at Lake Station Pavilion & Train Depot area.
October 31: Trunk or Treat 5-7 pm at the Loyal order of The Moose, 1890 E. Ludington Drive, Clare.
October 31: 6 to 9 pm. 2nd Annual Halloween in Harrison – 122 N. Second Street. The City Market will once again be transformed into a super spooky haunted house. North second street will be filled with trick or treat tables, a smores station, a food area, and a kids carnival. This year they also have an amazing zombie hearse with zombies! The Sanderson sisters will be in attendance as well as many more fun surprises! All events are free.
October 31: Lake Stations 2nd Annual Halloween Spooktacular: Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 pm. Trunk or Treat, Halloween crafts, doughnuts, hot cider and more!
