Obituary: Joy Louise Harding

Joy Louise Harding, of Grand Blanc and formerly of Marion, passed away on October 24, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. She was 80.

Joy was born on January 16, 1943 to Paul and Alice (Vanderhoef) Beebe in Cadillac, Michigan. She was a graduate of Evart High School, Class of 1961. Joy dedicated her life to proudly raising four children. In her spare time, she could often be found at a yard sale looking to find collectibles. She enjoyed crafting and baking special treats. Joy cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joy is survived by her loving children, Kathy (James) Major, DeWayne Harding, Danyell (Rob) Butler,  and Shelly Deel (fiancĂ©, Earl Flook); grandchildren, Alishia, Frank, Joshua, Natasha, Cody, Dylan, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Rayne, Elliot, Astrid, Theodore, and Lukas; sister-in-law, Irene Beebe; five nieces; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda Harding; an infant grandson, Jacob; her parents, Paul and Alice Beebe; and a brother, Loy Beebe.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home with visitation held one hour prior. Interment took place at Highland I Township Cemetery.
