Ardene Rae (Walters) Wild, age 94, of Clare, passed Away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, at Horizons Senior Living in Clare. She was born the daughter of Arden and Vada (Brasington) Walters on July 9, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant. She married Fred Wild in 1946, and he passed away in 1986. Ardene had worked as a secretary for Thayer Dairy for 25 years, retiring in the early 1990’s. She lived her entire life in the Clare area and had been a regular attendee of the Clare Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed reading, card games (particularly games of Pepper or Pinochle), studying Natural Health concepts. Her hobbies included, Gardening (both flowers and herbs), Sewing, woodworking, candles, and building hope chests for her grandchildren,
Survivors include her children, Richelle (Dan) Schrader of Texas, Rae (Dan) Crisp of Harrison, Dan (Kathy) Wild of Farwell, Clay Wild of Grawn, Lee Wild of Clare, Renee (Raymond) McConnell of Clare, Melissa (Brian) Haring-Wheatley of Farwell, and Mari (Joe) Bates of Clare, and her daughter-in-law Bonnie Wild-Terrois. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and her husband, Fred, Ardene is preceded in death by her son Paul Wild and her siblings, Zane Walters, Dale Walters, and Carol Allen.
A Funeral Service will be held for Ardene on Monday, October 9, 2023. There will be a viewing at the church starting at 10 AM, The Funeral Service will be at 11 with a Luncheon to follow. at the Clare Church of the Nazarene, 10160 S. Grant Ave., Clare, Mi., 48617. Burial will follow the luncheon in the Vernon Twp. Cemetery. Friends may meet with her family on Monday from 10 AM until 11AM at the Church.
