Blair DeZeeuw had 17 saves for NMC in this game on Sept. 21.
“Tonight was another growth game,” NMC Taylor Mulder said. “We were up against a very good team, which put us to the test. There were times we played well and were able to have long stretches of solid defensive play. There were other times when we just broke down and gave up easy unacceptable goals. Tonight was a good experience for all of us.
“It provided experience of how things can and should look when we do things right. As frustrating as a 6-0 loss is, it was a positive experience for our growth as a team. I would like to commend Emmitt Baas and Colton Winkle for their willingness to step up and fill in the gap in our center defense when we played such a good team. It was not an easy night for them and quite frustrating.”
