Jeri Lynn Blazys (née Loch) passed away on August 20, 2023 at the age of 62 in Allegan, MI.
Born on October 9, 1960 in Bemidji, MN, she found joy in fishing and owning and riding horses throughout her early days. Jeri was also well known in the community for selling handmade Christmas wreaths. The wreaths were made in the evenings by Jeri, her family, and friends, or whoever was kind enough to show up and help. The team would work away cutting evergreen boughs, assembling wreaths, and adding bows and other decorations to perfect them for weeks, ensuring everyone had a wreath in time for the holidays. In her career, Jeri dedicated herself to the community at Allegan Public Schools. As maintenance secretary, her attention to detail and dedication made her a cherished member of the team, ensuring that the school’s facilities were always well-maintained. In her free time, Jeri enjoyed playing with her dogs, keeping up with friends and family, and having daily phone calls with her twin sister, Juli. These moments brought her joy and allowed her to create lasting memories with loved ones.
Jeri was known for her honesty and always speaking the truth. And she was a brave and hardworking mother who knew how to put family first. Even through a long battle with cancer, she remained dedicated to providing for her loved ones until the end.
Jeri is survived by her husband John Blazys, her loving dog Bob, sons Troy, Travis, and Terry Mohrland, and stepson Jonathon Blazys. She is also survived by her siblings, her twin sister, Juli Minnick, Brenda Merkens, Stacy Vold, Steve Loch, Wayne Loch and her mother, Sharon Loch. Jeri was preceded in death by her father, Doug Loch.
Jeri Lynn Blazys will be remembered for her selflessness, hard work, and unwavering dedication to her family. Her legacy will live on through the memories she created with her loved ones.
A private service will be held in Bemidji, MN to honor Jeri’s life and legacy. The details of the service will be disclosed to those who knew her personally, reflecting the love and respect Jeri’s family and friends hold for her.
Jeri was our neighbor in Millgrove for many years and her sons spent many days with our son swinging in our pool. They always had good times. Jeri was more then a neighbor she was a friend. She will be missed
