EVART – Osceola County sheriff Mark Cool announced earlier this week an operation conducted in Evart to uncover a sex trafficking sting was successful.
Cool said the sex trafficking sting which occurred in Evart resulted in the arrest of four males over the weekend.
The sheriff’s office and multiple state and federal agencies arrested four males and identified them as Charles M. Staffen, 25, of Howard City; Corey M. Brennan, 34, of Allegan; Daniel Davidson, 27 of Six Lakes and a 27-year old who has been arrested but his name is being withheld pending arraignment.
Cool issued this statement on a video post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page:
“It is with mixed emotions that I can tell you Operation Fair Game was a success. Through this operation, the team was able to arrest four individuals. These four individuals came to Evart to have sexual relations with a minor less than 15 years old. (They) were arrested for accosting a minor for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime. Additional charges are being sought for these individuals. I am very proud of this team who took time away from their families on a Friday night to make Osceola County a safer place for your families. I would also like to thank the Osceola County Detective Services Bureau who spent hundreds of hours planning for this event.”
