Obituary: Carl “Cork” Haring Jr.

Carl “Cork” Haring Jr., age 72 of Farwell, passed away June 17, 2023 at his home.  Cork was born the son of Carl and Ruth (Rayner) Haring on April 13, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant.  He was united in marriage to Tina Briguglio on February 14, 1995.  Cork worked and retired as a Pipeliner through Local 1098.  He enjoyed hunting, bowling, fishing, gardening, canning, and making Maple Syrup.  Cork had followed in his father’s footsteps in building things; he had received a key to the City of Clare for his work on the Brookwood Park Playground Project; he had made everyone’s names on the railings in 2007.  He was a member of the Clare Moose Lodge, and proud to be an Officer.

     Survivors include his wife, Tina; children, Shelly (Mark) Smith, Sara Briguglio, Nicole (Adam) Klein and Kenneth and Toni Graham; his grandchildren Alex, Samuel and Hayden Smith, Damon Graham, Preston and Leah Beatty, Easton Opalewski, Adam IV, Kenneth and Colette Klein and his siblings Jackie (Doug) Manee, Mark (Stacy) Haring and Jeff (Karen) Haring.  Cork was predeceased by his parents and many aunts and uncles.

     A Butterfly release will be held in Clare’s Shamrock Park in Memory of Cork on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 1 P.M.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clare Moose Lodge on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 12 Noon with a Luncheon to follow.  Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  On-line condolences may be left at www.stephenson-wyman.com
