Joseph Anthony Simone (Joe), lovingly known as Joe, peacefully passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 75. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Joe was the cherished son of Joseph and Cecilia Simone. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.
Joe was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Connie Smarr Simone, with whom he shared many joyous moments throughout their 8 years together. Their unwavering bond and deep affection served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Joe’s memory will forever be treasured by his children, Joseph Simone, Dominic Simone (Donna), and Danielle (Chris) Blain.
Although grieving the loss of his granddaughter Briana Blain, Joe found solace in the love and memories they shared. Her memory will forever hold a special place in his heart, and he will be reunited with her in eternal peace.
In addition to his immediate family, Joe leaves behind a legacy that extends to his grandchildren, Bianca Blain, Luca Simone, and Alexis Danielle Simone. His love will forever be imprinted on their hearts.
Joe spent a portion of his life living in Clare, where he made lasting connections within the community. He dedicated over ten years of his life to the Clare Volunteer Fire Department, serving as a valued member and exemplifying selflessness and bravery. His commitment to protecting and helping others will always be remembered. In 2002 Joseph left Clare and moved to Arkansas, where he enjoyed Fly Fishing and traveling.
In addition to his remarkable contributions as a firefighter Joe also honorably served in the United States Army, adding another layer of valor and dedication to his life’s story. Joseph’s military service was marked by his tour of duty, including his significant contributions as a Vietnam Veteran.
As a member of the United States Army, Joe demonstrated exceptional bravery and commitment to his country. He selflessly put himself in harm’s way, serving his nation with honor and distinction. Throughout his military career, Joseph earned numerous achievements and accolades for his unwavering dedication and bravery on the battlefield.
