Obituary: Donald Dean Dysinger

Donald Dean Dysinger – Age 81, lifelong resident of Clare, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 surrounded by his family. Donald was born in Clare on August 5, 1941 to parents Leon Sylvester and Helen Isabella (Williams) Dysinger. Donald graduated high school and went on to work primarily in engineering for Dow Corning of Midland. He married the love of his life, Linda Kaye Sposita in Southfield, MI on September 6, 1980. Donald was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion and was a man of many interests. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and water sports, he had a passion for collecting tractors and loved spending time in his barn. He and Linda enjoyed many winters together in Florida, and he was always up for traveling. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family, and had a few favorite pets as well, Sparky the golden retriever, Boots the cat, and his horse, Fella.

Happy memories of time spent with Donald will be cherished by all those surviving him, including his wife of nearly 43 years, Linda, his children, David Dysinger and wife Shannon, Drew Dysinger and wife Leah, and Denise Mackie, grandchildren; Shawn, Cara, Amy (Ken), Amanda (Jay), Devin, Rhett, and Paisley, great grandchildren; Caleb, Abby, Gabe, Natalie, Maxim, and Jillian, brother Dwayne Dysinger, sisters Nancy (Jim) Lloyd and Carol (Ron) Larrance, as well as many other family and friends.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Leon and Helen, and two brothers, Danny Dysinger and baby brother Robert.

According to his wishes a cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Farwell on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 4-8pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11am. Interment will be made in the Vernon Township Cemetery in a private family service at a later date. Please consider making a memorial contribution in Donald’s name to MyMichigan Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Donation envelopes will be made available at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Farwell, MI.
