Robert (Bob) Joseph Teeter, age 61, of Clare, passed away on June 2nd at MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland, following a brief battle with cancer. Bob was born on March 16th, 1962, in Mt. Pleasant. He was the fifth of 8 children born to the late Harley and Lina Ruth (Ball) Teeter. He was a lifelong resident of Clare, graduating from high school in 1981. Bob was a diehard Detroit Red Wings fan. He enjoyed watching all sports and NASCAR races. He played football in high school and baseball as an adult, taking his young daughter to his games. Bob loved country music, camping, biking and taking walks both alone and with his daughter. His favorite thing of all was spoiling his two very adorable grandsons, Carter and Hudson. But NOTHING came close to the unconditional love he had for his two children and grandchildren. He was the most proud Papa. Bob had a great sense of humor and was a good hearted man, always willing to help anyone in need. He had an associates degree in heating and cooling, and was a current 3rd shift employee of Walmart. He was a special friend of Bill W.
He is survived by his son Adam Challis of Bellaire, and daughter Shayna Teeter (Cody Snear) of Farwell, his grandsons Carter and Hudson Snear, his siblings Cheryl Fredericksen of Clare, Mary (Jim) Averill of Kingston, Bill (Wendy) Teeter of Clare, Linda (Jeff) Reser of Ashley, Brenda (Dean) Tomlinson of Caro, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harley and Lina Ruth, his sister Ruth Ann, brother George, and niece Elizabeth Fredericksen.
Services will be held at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 1 P.M. with Mr. Jeff Orser officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alcoholics Anonymous.
