After a search process facilitated by the Michigan Leadership Institute that began in February 2023, the Fennville Board of Education selected Dr. Doug Greer as the school district’s new superintendent.
Dr. Greer graduated with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Valley State University and a Doctor of Philosophy, PhD, in Educational Leadership and Administration from Western Michigan University.
In early May 2023, the Board narrowed their search and offered additional interviews to five candidates. After a series of interviews and meetings, the Board was able to arrive at their decision in late May.
A resident of Holland, MI, Dr. Doug Greer served at Kent City Public Schools as an elementary principal and curriculum director from 2007-2011. From 2011-2021, he was the Director of School Improvement at Ottawa Area Intermediate School District then became Director of Learning at the Holland Christian Schools.
“The Board of Education continues to sincerely thank Jim Greydanus for his 10 dedicated years of service to the Fennville Public Schools. His leadership has set up our new leader, and district, for continued success.”
