Fire hydrants in the City of Plainwell will be flushed on Friday, May 19.
Crews from the city’s Department of Public Works will begin the flushing process at 2 a.m. and will continue until all hydrants are flushed.
This process may cause city residents to notice bouts of discolored water and/or reduced water pressure.
Residents are advised to check their water before each use and proceed accordingly.
Those who experience discolored water should let the water run until it becomes clear.
If anyone has additional questions or is seeking more information, contact the Department of Public Works at (269) 685-9363.
