HAMILTON—After opening the Hamilton Invitational with an 8-2 loss to North Muskegon, the Otsego baseball team bounced back in a big way.
The Bulldogs defeated Saugatuck 16-1 in their second game of the day, with Sam Bronkema leading the way at the plate.
Bronkema went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI against the Trailblazers.
Callum Wesseldyk added a triple in the win, while Kyle Lingbeek and Robert Darrow each singled.
For Saugatuck, John Hartgerink and Cass Stanberry each singled.
In the loss to North Muskegon, the Bulldogs got singles from six players: Lingbeek, Bronkema, Tyler VanderLugt, Nick Lopez, Isaac Madalinski and Jacob Ray.
