Ronald James Mathews, 78 passed away on May 8th, 2023. Ron was born on September 5th, 1944 in Rosebush, Michigan to parents Delmer Franklin and Helen Marie (Muchie) Mathews. Ron graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, after which he served with the U. S. Coast Guard from 1965 until 1971. He received Ron received a Unit Commendation Medal as well as a Good Conduct Medal. He was married on June 30, 1978 at Farwell Community Church on Grace Street. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jane Ann Mathews. A Celebration of Life will be performed at Farwell United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, at 1 PM. Memorial considerations may be made in Ronald Mathews’ name to Jane Mathews. Donation envelopes will be made available at the church on the day of the service.
