Pioneers take two from Harrison in conference match up

Clare outmatched Harrison in a thrilling baseball game on Thursday, winning 5-2. The game started off with a bang as the Pioneers scored in the first inning. However, Harrison quickly caught up in the third inning, scoring two runs to tie the game.

In the fourth inning, Westyn Bryant’s clutch hit gave Clare the lead for good. Bryant also pitched two scoreless innings, striking out two and walking one. Chase Randall led the team with two hits in three at-bats, while Kirby went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Harrison.

Despite Kirby’s strong performance, Harrison couldn’t overcome Clare’s solid defense, which didn’t commit a single error.

Clare Baseball team secured an impressive 13-3 victory in the second game on Thursday, thanks to some impressive performances on the plate.

Jayden Arthur had a particularly impressive day, tallying four hits and leading Clare to victory. Arthur singled in the first, third, fourth, and fifth innings, helping to secure the team’s lead.

Although Harrison managed to score three runs in the third inning, Clare pulled out all the stops, putting up five runs in the fifth inning. Arthur, Ryan Louch, and Miles Haggart all drove in runs in the frame, contributing to the team’s success.

Zach Johnston got the start for the Pioneers, allowing five hits and three runs over two and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero. L Williams started the game for Harrison, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out one and walking one. Davenport threw three and two-thirds innings in relief.

Clare collected an impressive 15 hits, with Arthur, Keagan Hill, Westyn Bryant, and Haggart each racking up multiple. Arthur went 4-for-4 at the plate, leading Clare in hits. The team also managed to steal 11 bases during the game, with Arthur leading the way with four.
