Katie Ann Lange arrived February 26, 1972, the only child of Tom and Sue Lange, in Allegan, Michigan. Katie died at the age of 51, on April 28, 2023, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI.
Katie is survived by her Dad, Tom Lange, Allegan, MI, and many adoring cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Mom, Susan K. Lange, Grandma Polly Johnson, Grandma Josephine Lange, Grandpa “Ted” Theodore H. Lange, Aunts Grace Ann (Gerald) Richardson, Sue (Joe) Huguelet, Barbara Washburn (Ken), Gretchen Wedge (Ron), Kathy Lange, Mary Joan Lange, Uncle Ted (Wanda) Lange, special cousin Edna “Skip” McDonough.
Katie has been cremated and a private grave side service is planned. She will be laid to rest at Poplar Hill Cemetery with her Mom, Sue Lange.
She was a loving daughter, a social butterfly and loved family gatherings with all her Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Katie greeted everyone she met with a smile and enthusiastic “HI!”
Anyone who knew Katie came to expect her comedic one liners; she brought laughter and happiness to everyone she met. She enjoyed watching Sesame Street, Brady Bunch, I Dream of Jeanie, Love Boat and Disney movies. She was always busy making crafts! Katie absolutely loved trips to the store with her Dad, getting her nails done, colored highlights in her hair and fancy “Jewelry”. She had an impressive collection of stuffed animals, and it brought her joy to pass them out to kids she met.
Katie was recently cared for at Trinity Home Health Agency (AFC) in Allegan with her very special “teachers”, Bobbie Morrie and Rosemary Mckinley; and her friends. She will be dearly missed, she taught us all love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
In lieu of flowers, please send a note to Katie’s Dad, Tom Lange, with a memory of Katie to 11586 Larry Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
