Body found in Wayland identified as Ronald Jensen

On April 11, 2023 the Wayland City Police Department was dispatched for a suspicious situation. Upon the arrival of officers they were directed to an area next to US131 and Windsor Woods Village. The officers found human remains that appear to have been there for several months. The area the body was discovered is near the residence of Ronald Jenson who was report missing on August 4, 2022.
The Wayland City Police Department is working with the Allegan County Medical Examiner and Western Michigan University Medical to help positively identify the body. Once the body is positively identified an updated press released will be sent.
The Wayland City Police Department was assisted by the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police and Gun Lake Tribal Police.
UPDATE:
The body found in Wayland City on April 11, 2023 has been identified as Ronald Jenson age 62. Ronald was reported missing on August 2, 2022. Ronald appeared to have died of natural causes, and no signs of any foul play.
