93 Walk to End Hunger in county/worldwide

The 41st annual Van Buren County CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Hunger Walk was held Sunday, April 30, in Paw Paw. A total of 93 area residents took part in the 3.1 mile walk around downtown Paw Paw, which began and ended at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church. A quarter of all money raised from the walk will be distributed to six area food pantries. Event organizers hope to raise $20,023. Eleanor Dunlop, 99, of Paw Paw, took part in the walk with her grandson, Brady Anglin. Dunlop, a World War II veteran, and member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw, has participated in every county CROP walk since it started.
