Lady Rebel Softball
The Chambers Academy Lady Rebels traveled to Montgomery to participate in the regional seeding tournament leading up to the state tournament which will begin on Thursday. First, the Lady Rebels faced Hooper Academy. After playing Hooper to the wire just two weeks ago and losing 6-7, Chambers had trouble with the Colts in the tournament. Scoring two runs in the top of the first, Chambers gave up three runs in the bottom of the inning and never recovered. Hooper recorded three runs in the second and two more in the third to leave Chambers trailing. Although the Lady Rebels improved in the field, they couldn’t connect at the plate and lost 2-8.
In the second game, they faced another familiar opponent the Edgewood Lady Wildcats, whom they beat 4-3 two weeks ago. Batting troubles continued to plague the Lady Rebels as they scored no runs in the game while giving up 8 to the Lady Wildcats.

Rebel Baseball
The Chambers Academy Rebels hit the road to Butler, Alabama to meet up with Patrician Academy in a best of three series in the second round of the state playoffs. Chambers went up 1-0 in the top of the first after Braxton Yerta knocked in Kyle Hand on a ground ball to the shortstop. Patrician quickly went up 1-3 in the bottom of the inning and never looked back. The Rebels were not without opportunity in the loss, leaving runners stranded with bases loaded twice, but Chambers was not able to capitalize and fell 1-13 in the first game.
The Saints proved too much for the Rebels in the second game as well. Chambers posted one run in the bottom of the second after singles by both Luke Tarver and Buster Coker. The Rebels also scored in the bottom of the third on a Coker RBI, but the big bats of Patrician overcame Chambers, and the Rebels fell 2-15.
