Ardella Grace Allen, age 84 of the Lake George area, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 21, 2023 at home. Ardella was born the daughter of the late Bert and Lilah (Challendar) Towner on February 14, 1939 in Portland, Michigan. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Allen in 1957 in Sebewa. Ardella was a graduate of Lake Odessa High School, class of 1957. She had worked as a Crossing Guard for the Grand Ledge Public School for several years, as well as a Cashier for a Meijers Store in Lansing. Ardella and Charles had moved to Lake George in 1992. She loved to sew, swim, fish and be outdoors; she was remembered as a good cook.
Ardella is survived by her husband Charles; children Thomas Allen of Harrison, Tammie (Doug) Mauchmar of Wayland, Terri (Harold) Dewey of Eagle and Sharon (Mark) Gardner of Sunfield; a sister Bernice Gilliam of Mississippi; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ardella was predeceased by three siblings.
