MCBAIN – Liz Vogel, County Administrator, at last week’s Missaukee County finance committee meeting, reviewed the new proposed enabling agreement between the Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority and the six counties that comprise the district of the NLCMH.
It was pointed out in reviewing the merger negotiations that each county is required to have one county commissioner on the NLCMH board. The request is to select one commissioner from the Missaukee County Board of Commissioners to serve on the NLCMH board, as well as approve the new enabling agreement at the May BOC meeting.
It was requested for the May meeting so that if any last minute changes are made, the board will be approving the latest and final enabling agreement.
The Committee reviewed a proposed resolution in support of the 2nd Amendment that was tabled during the last Board of commissioners meeting. There was discussion and request to add “responsibly keep and bear any form…” to the last paragraph on the first page of the resolution.
The Committee also discussed the Building Department permit fee structure. This is going to be discussed with a Commissioner, Building Inspector, and County Administrator, and if a change is requested, will be brought back to committee.
