The Clare Track and Field team is off to a great start for the season. Both girls and boys finished first on Saturday against Beal City, Coleman, and Farwell. Despite the chilly afternoon, the athletes were able to perform well and have fun doing it.

Ally Nobis, Ava Harton, and Hannah Goethe all ran very well for the girls, and Julia Haggart, Kadence Zelinski, Cayla Barber, and Mackenzy Warner all led the way in field events. The girls are very happy with how their first meet went. Captain, Ava Harton comments, “We all came together as a team and everyone did very well in each of their events.”

The boys also showed-up and showed-out with a 73 point lead to win it. Seniors Wyatt Allbee and Karson Tocco both won their races to help out Clare, and the relay teams went to work. William Warner, Caiden Gaskill, Brayden Schmidt, and Kona Crump won their 3200 relay race, and Gaskill, Crump, Owhin Thompson, and Danny Leonard won the 1600 relay.
