OTSEGO—Dominant.
That one word pretty much sums up the season-opening performance by the Otsego girls tennis team against visiting Marshall on Thursday, March 23.
The Bulldogs didn’t lose more than five games in any flight and cruised to the 8-0 victory.
Four of Otsego’s flight wins came via scores of 6-0, 6-0: No. 1 singles Aly Aldrich; No. 1 doubles Anna Moore/Sydney Grile; No. 2 doubles Sophie Maxwell/Sydney Holland; and No. 3 doubles Reaghan Higgins/Ellie Korringa.
The No. 4 doubles team of Annaliese Podewell/Cierra Swope won by default.
Other victors for the Bulldogs were No. 2 singles Lexi Layman (6-2, 6-1), No. 3 singles Karoliina Moksi (6-1, 6-1) and No. 4 singles Sidney Morris (6-4, 6-1).
