Lakeside added a run after a tag up on a flyout in the top of the fourth. Chambers answered by scoring two in the bottom of the inning to make the score 8-12.

Rebel Baseball
Chambers Baseball beat Lakeside three times in a little over 24 hours to start the week. Traveling to Lakeside for a single game, the Rebels took the lead 4-0 in the first, mostly due to Lakeside’s struggles on the mound. In the top of the second, AJ Barnes, Luke Tarver, and Drew Sheppard all recorded RBIs to extend the Rebel lead 7-0. Sheppard and Kyle Hand both singled in the third with runners on to make the score 11-0.
Grant Jones hit a hard ground ball and reached on error while sending in Barnes in the top of the 5th for the Rebels’ final score of the game. Lakeside did get on the board in the bottom of the 5th on a ground ball to third base, but the Rebels had already sealed the win 12-1.
Jones got the win on the mound, striking out 10, walking 5 and allowing no hits and no runs in 3.2 innings.
The Rebels returned home on Tuesday to record a 7-2 win and a 13-2 win over Lakeside.
