Monday, March 13 the boys golf teams officially started practices for the 2023 season. Farwell has 8 boys on the roster this year, 3 freshmen, 1 sophomore, 2 juniors, and 2 seniors, Keaton Allbee and Domonic Krabill. The seniors are two of only three returning golfers, Chase Ison, the third returnee, has been on the team for 3 years now and will be a great asset during the season.

When asked about the upcoming season Coach Lewis said, “When it comes to experience we are young, so we will work hard to try and improve the best we can. I am looking forward to having a fun season with the boys, and my hope is that each one will make individual improvements that will help the team overall.”

Clare senior, Randon Iserhoth, also commented about the upcoming season, explaining that they are aiming for the Conference Championship this year after a close loss last season. He looks forward to getting to know new teammates and hopes himself and the other returning players can give them an environment to have fun and grow as golfers.

Most notably, Randon explains what makes the sport the most enjoyable, “These are some of the most fun guys I’ve ever been around. Some of them I’ve grown up with, and some I only met not too long ago, but we’re all like family. We’re good friends outside of the season, so it’s really special to be able to spend every day with these guys on the course.”
