MCBAIN – Bruce Rendon, Missaukee GOP Chairperson, was at the county’s finance committee meeting last week and said he would like to have more commissioners as members of the local party.
Lori Cox, County Treasurer, reviewed financial reports for the month of February. She also presented an annual financial depository resolution for the board to adopt at its meeting. Cox also invited the Commissioners to attend a Land Bank meeting on March 21 that will have information on funds that are available for blighted properties in Missaukee County.
The Committee reviewed several items as referred from the Building and Grounds Committee.
The first item was a recommendation to approve the bid from Miller Contracting LLC in the amount of $18,860, for the Human Services Building sidewalk replacement project, to be paid from Fund 214.
The Committee reviewed a request from the District Health Department No. 10 to put a Narcan vending machine in the Human Services Building lobby. The item was tabled until the Finance Committee next month.
The Committee reviewed the request to approve the installation of a generator in the Human Services Building. The purchase and installation of the generator would be paid for by the District Health Department but would become property of the County.
Also with this request was a new proposed lease agreement, which was up for renewal. Additional language was added to include the generator as property.
