Mr. Charles E. Finley “Flap”, 81 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
Public Visitation was held on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, February 27, 2023, 12 Noon CST at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Pastor Dr. Melvin Owens, Eulogist, Rev. Gary L. Dixon, Officiating. Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette.
Mr. Finley is survived by his wife, Nell Finley of LaFayette, AL, three sons, Alex Finley, MS, Kenneth (Linda) Finley of LaGrange, GA, and Eric (Olivia) Linson of Ft. Mitchell, AL, five sisters: Lorene Holloway of LaFayette, AL, Mary (Alfred) Jennings of Lanett, AL, Dorothy (Julian) Relf of Decatur, GA, Isabella Jackson of LaFayette, AL, and Cynthia (Dwayne) Fears of West Point, GA, three brothers, Albert Finley, Jr. of LaFayette, AL, James (Margie) Finley of Mobile, AL, and Walter (Josephine) Finley of LaFayette, AL, three grandsons, Antron Finley of LaGrange, GA, Eric Jerrell (Andrea) Linson of Phenix City, AL, and Justin Rashad Linson of Ft. Mitchell, AL, one granddaughter, Jessica Finley of LaGrange, GA, one great-granddaughter, Harlym Jayde Linson of Phenix City, AL, two sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen (Fletcher) Carr and Emma Sue Whitlow, both of LaFayette, AL, one brother-in-law, Bobby Baker of Lanett, AL, a host of nieces and nephews, many friends and other relatives, too numerous to mention.
