Obituary: Christopher Charles-Alexander Baginski

Christopher Charles-Alexander Baginski, age 46, of Farwell Michigan, passed away unexpectedly February 16th, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center Clare.
He was born on August 5th, 1976 in Howell, Michigan. The son of Patrick Baginski, and Debra Bidwell Boggs; he was the older brother to Kelly Corbat (Baginski) and Jake Boggs. Chris was a kid at heart; he lived his life to the beat of his own drum. He enjoyed traveling, and capturing beautiful pictures of Michigan’s scenery. His photographs of lighthouses, and the other natural wonders of the Great Lakes were breathtaking. Chris loved music. He found solace in the crowded concert venues, where his favorite bands would play the loud music he relished in. He loved Michigan Football, he shared great memories with his father and son going to The Big House almost every fall. Chris was the man of many hobbies, from camping, to skateboarding, to biking, and saltwater fish he was profoundly unique.
Chris leaves behind his daughter Siera Baginski, his son Seth Baginski, daughter-in-law Natalie Baginski, and Granddaughter Adelaide Baginski. He is also survived by his father, Patrick Baginski, and his mother Debra Bidwell Boggs. His sister Kelly Corbat (Baginski), her husband Daniel Corbat, along with his nephew Lincoln Corbat. His brother Jake Boggs and his wife Amanda Boggs. Chris also leaves behind his partner, Chelsea Matice and her children Connor and Lillian– who he loved like his own. He is predeceased by his beloved life long partner, Melissa Robinson, and his grandparents, Charles and Sally Bidwell.
Chris was a complex person that lived a simple life. He enjoyed just being, and living life by his terms. When you got to know Chris, it was hard not to want to be around him. He had a quiet way of accepting anyone that took the time to understand him. His love for movies was obvious by his never ending collection. One of his favorites was Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. A quote from that movie that perfectly fits Chris, “Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”
Close friends and family are invited to a celebration of life in Chris’ honor at the Moose Lodge in Farwell, MI on February 25th, 2023 from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
