Lois “Marie” Petri Ferguson, of Taylors, SC, passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 88 at home after a long illness. She was born on December 01, 1934, in Nashville, TN. Most of her life she was living in Michigan and raised her family with her first husband Robert F. Petri until his death. She then resided in Farwell and Lake, Michigan before moving to SC with her second husband Donald E. Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by her only son, David R. Petri.
Marie was a lifelong homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren. Before her illness she loved the outdoors, walking daily and serving her church in the kitchen. She was a fan of Elvis and Betty Boop and enjoyed crossword search puzzles and game shows. She also loved and collected figurines of angels and hummingbirds.
Marie is survived by her husband Donald E. Ferguson, two daughters, Cheryl Tima and her husband Paul, and Tammy Mikesell and daughter in law, Peggy Petri. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Eric, Joshua, Venessa and Samantha, seven great grandchildren, Selena, Austin, Gianna, Savannah, Nevaeh, Adalyn and Raelyn, and one great, great granddaughter, Freya.
Marie will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
