When the Otsego boys swim & dive team hosted Wayland for a non-conference dual meet on Tuesday, Jan. 31, it marked the end of an era.
The meet was the final one to be held at the Bulldogs’ current pool, which is located at Washington Elementary School. The district is replacing the more-than-50-year-old pool with its new aquatic center beginning next fall for the girls swim & dive season.
The new facility is located between the high school and Bulldog Stadium.
In honor of the final meet at the current pool, dozens of past Otsego swimmers returned to catch up with each other and reminisce about the old days. The meet also featured Parents Night and Senior Night, making for quite the busy evening for Otsego coach Darryl Belton.
