HUDSONVILLE—Another week, another outstanding performance for the Plainwell Robotics Club.
The Plainwell High School team So Many Problems joined forces with alliance partner Sinking Slowly from Jenison High School to take top honors at the Hudsonville VEX Robotics Tournament on Sunday, Jan. 29.
Thanks to the win, So Many Problems has qualified for the Michigan VRC High School State Championship Tournament at Kettering University on Sunday, Feb. 26.
So Many Problems—which includes Owen Ferris, Danielle Klein and Sam Bacon—placed third in the qualifying round. The team then captained the second-place alliance with the Sinking Slowly, eventually taking the victory.
The win for So Many Problems comes a week after a pair of Plainwell elementary teams joined up to win the Charlotte VEX IQ Robotics Tournament. Those teams were the Gearheads from Gilkey Elementary and the TP Titans from Cooper Elementary.
Plainwell Middle School teams The Hackers, Demoted Rookies and B.A.T.T.L.E. finished the qualifying round in 6th, 11th and 20th place, respectively.
